Cantareata britanica a mai fost premiata si pentru `Cel mai bun artist debutant`, `Cea mai buna performanta pop vocala a unei artiste` si `Cel mai bun album pop` (`Back to Black`).

Kanye West fusese nominalizat la opt categorii, dar a plecat acasa cu patru distinctii: `Cel mai bun album rap` (`Graduation`), `Best solo performance` (`Stronger`), `Best rap song` (`Good Life`) si `Best rap performance by a duo or group`, pentru colaborarea cu Common pe `Southside`.

Cea de-a 50-a editie aniversara Grammy a oferit un show de exceptie, un tribut Beatles adus de echipa Cirque de Soleil sau un duet indelung aclamat intre Tina Turner si Beyonce pe melodia `Proud Mary`.
